Education Philosopy
I believe all students are capable of learning and that effective teachers can reach every student. An education is not solely academic; the teacher must also educate his or her students mentally by teaching them skills needed to solve problems and by teaching them skills needed to communicate and work productively with others. Students must be able to function in the real world, which not only requires academic knowledge but social skills as well.
The purpose of education is to enable students to become successful in their lives. The most effective way to teach a child is to know them, in all developmental area: social, emotional, physical, and cognitive. I believe that all children require guidance and support from many different people in order to achieve their best. Parents, educators, caregivers and adult role models all provide children with different influences. The child’s teacher is the leader of the child’s educational process, providing support and guidance. In order for students to learn, remember, and use the information I give them, it must be relevant to their daily lives, and they must be active participants in the learning process.
