We us a seven day rotation for specials. Days are noted by letter A-DAY Through G-Day. We ask that students wear gym shoes on P.E. days. Gym shoes (tennis shoes, running shoes) are required for safety purposes.
We will cover loco motor skills and non loco motor skills through out the year. Loco motor skills are movement skill (skipping, hopping, jogging, etc). Any skill that a person use wanting to travel from one spot to another. We will also cover things like chasing, tagging, fleeing, catching, throwing, and rhythm and movement.
Other things cover this year include: Throwing, catching, striking, playground rules, sports specific skills, bus safety, gymnastics. Health lessons include: identifying personal health goals, good decision making, health behaviors, and body parts.
